# Upgrade Elastic from 7.12.0 to 7.12.1 in docker environment

Hello,
I need to upgrade my Elasticsearch + kibana , from 7.12.0 to 7.12.1.
I have it all in docker environment (with a docker composer file), and I am wondering what is the best way to do it?
Can I just update the versions of the images in the compose file and use the same volume or is it more complex than that?

Welcome.
For a minor upgrade like this, it should work OOTB.
But you should always have backups.
