Dear all

I would like to upgrade or check the current OpenJDK Java version on my three ubuntu nodes.
Asking the dev tools about my version, it says 18

But asking on the ubuntu servers commandline, I got version 11. I found the JDK folder in the elasticsearch home directory. But it confuses me why I got two different answers here.
And I would need to know how to upgrade it correctly. I tested it on the test server but did not succeed, as the Website became unusable (but I got the correct version with the command "java -version"). So if there is a quick guideline here, I would appreciate it.

BR

Please don't post pictures of text, logs or code. They are difficult to read, impossible to search and replicate (if it's code), and some people may not be even able to see them 🙂

What version of Elasticsearch do you have installed?

Hi Warkolm. It is 8.2.3. Java version OpenJDK is 18.0.1.1. I am also aware of the compability matrix regarding compatible versions
.
