# Uploading sourcemaps

Hi!

I kind of feels like the RUM implementation isn't fully done.

I am struggling alot with uploading sourcemaps. Right now i get status code 401. Any ideas on how Control security privileges should look like, when creating the API key?

Hi @Casper_Thrane

the doc related to APM UI APIs is [RUM source map API | Elastic Observability [8.15] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/observability/8.15/apm-rum-sourcemap-api.html) and according to it the list of privileges that are required in the API key are described in [APM UI API user | Elastic Observability [8.15] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/observability/8.15/apm-app-api-user.html)
