# Use\_disk\_threshold defaulting to False

Hi,

If I create a deployment then update the elasticsearch instances wth the API (not the UI) I can see that the use\_disk\_threshold is being changed from true to false, even though I am not specifying this anywhere in my config and from what I can see in the documentation it should default to true. Any idea why this change is happening?

Interesting ... looking at the code, that threshold defaults to `false`, so I think the docs are just wrong (note the plan is a `PUT` not a `PATCH` so unspecified parameters are set to their defaults)

I'll create an issue to figure out why the docs and code are inconsistent, thanks for reporting!
