# Using Alert in Elasticsearch?

Hello,  
I have data written into Elasticsearch in near real time and i want to be alerted when that data matches certain patterns, ElastAlert is the tool for doing this. However i want to use alert in java API, it's possible ?

It doesn't look like it based on my skimming their docs.

We have just released the Watcher product that will do this 😄
