# Using elasticsearch graph for data lineage analysis

That's not really a common thing for us. But just to get clearer on the scope: You are asking about the data:

- within Elasticsearch,
- within the Elastic Stack, or
- end to end, which could include non Elastic components?

Also something like tagging would be sufficient or would it need to include a visual representation?

In any case, this won't be something out of the box and would include at least some building with the Elastic Stack.
