# Using remote reindex on clusters which doesn't support username & password

Hello,

I was exploring the remote reindex feature. Looking at the documentation and a bit of code reading, it seems remote reindex would only work if the cluster supports username & password kind of authentication.

So does this mean that auth realms which don't rely on username and password are not supported by this feature?
