# Using the heartbeat (6.8.3) keystore prevents heartbeat windows service starting

I am trying to use the heartbeat keystore to store credentials used to authenticate with my Elastic Search cluster. The configuration works fine when run from a command line but when I use it via a windows service the service will not start. The error is Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. The service was created as per the instructions on the heartbeat documentation using the supplied install powershell script.
