# Verify Kibana Dashboard Upgrades

answer has to be here somewhere but unable to find it...
after building elasticsearch cluster and running setup for dashboards under metricbeat, filebeat, and winlogbeat, how are kibana dashboards updated between 8.xx.x versions? Do I run setup on each beat agent again or just run sudo apt upgrade on the system running kibana?

sometimes I forget how easy elastic stack is to use, I think it answered my question, after the upgrade I looked a dashboards and it looks like some were upgraded without running the client setup:
