# Visualization: Controls - refreshing new values in options-list

Hi.

Im trying to use the controls-visualization, but Im a bit unsure about when new values will be visible in the options-list.

We have a control filtering on user defined fields, e.g "Organization". When a new instance is added to the pool of monitored instances (metricbeat) - the values will not be visible. I can see the new values in the "discover"-view, but not in the option list.

Where is this cached and how could i refresh this cache?

I think you've hit this issue in Input Controls: [https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/17388](https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/17388)  
We don't have an ETA for it yet, but there has been a lot of activity and interest on the issue so I assume it will be taken in consideration very soon.
