I created a visualization for an existing index (test-index-_), when I edit the saved object the kibanaSavedObjectMeta.searchSourceJSON shows a strange string instead of the real index. When I change the index to (test-index-_) again it does not work.

hi @simon4

the saved object is pointing to the id of the index pattern, not the name of the index pattern. This id is only used internally, but not for display purposes.
