# Watcher Email Notification Settings through API

Hi -
Can Watcher email notification settings be setup through the API to avoid a restart? I'm anticipating needing a few attempts to get this working and it's fine if the changes are transient. Once working I'll add them to elasticsearch.yml and restart if needed.
If so could someone provide an example?
