# We want to increase backoff time from 1s to 3s, apart from delay in logs, does this have any other affects on CPU/Memory/Network of filebeat process

scan\_frequency:30s  
close\_inactive: 5m  
max\_backoff: 10s  
backoff\_factor: 2

what does harvester does after max\_backoff? does it close the handler?
