# Weather details on maps in kibana

Hello to everyone!!!

I am wondering about adding weather details on maps in kibana. Especially, is there any way to use [Openweather API](https://openweathermap.org/appid) in order to show on kibana maps weather info, like this [image](https://apps.startribune.com/blogs/user_images/weathrlver_1541071436_NAT_Today.png).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! thank you!!

Hi,

I see they support accessing their maps as [XYZ layers](https://openweathermap.org/api/weather-map-2), so with proper `appid` you should be able to add a new [`Tile Layer`](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/current/tile-layer.html).

If you want to get the data, then there are different ways to feed data, like using [Logstash HTTP plugin](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/current/plugins-inputs-http.html).
