# What is the hardware requirement for packetbeat?

Hello,

We currently have a DNS server with the following specifications:

CPU: 3 vCPU  
RAM: 3 GB  
Disk: 110 GB

We plan to install Packetbeat to monitor traffic on port 53. The average traffic volume on this port is around 14-17 GB per day.

Could you please advise on the necessary hardware upgrades to ensure that Packetbeat runs smoothly without causing any issues?
