# What is the use of enterprise search client

Hey, just a quick question : What is the actual difference between elastic enterprise search ([Elastic Enterprise Search Documentation [7.13] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/enterprise-search/7.13/index.html)) and elastic enterprise search client ([Enterprise Search Clients | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/enterprise-search-clients/index.html)) ?

The former is the server. The later link gives access to some clients which can speak with the server.
