# When will Elasticsearch version 9.0.4 be updated to the official image repository?

We deployed an Elasticsearch cluster using Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes.

The deployed Elasticsearch version was 8.18.x, and upon hearing the news that version 9.0.4 was released, ECK modified it to version 9.0.4 and deployed it.

However, the Elasticsearch 9.0.4 image has not been uploaded to the Official image yet, so it is stuck in the "Init:ImagePullBackOff" state.

Since ECK CRD cannot be downgraded, it cannot be rolled back to the previous version.

Therefore, it is expected that the upgrade will proceed automatically when version 9.0.4 is uploaded to the official image repository.

Could you please let me know when Elasticsearch version 9.0.4 will be upload to the official image repository?

I do not use ECK, but this seems to be an issue as Elasticsearch 9.0.4 was not released yet.

Do you have a paid license with a support contract? I would recommend that you open a support ticket.

ECK do not change stack versions automatically.
