# Where we placed the stopwords file?

Hi

I have read the following document \<[http://www.elasticsearch.org/guide/](http://www.elasticsearch.org/guide/)  
reference/index-modules/analysis/stop-tokenfilter.html\>,but i want to  
know this file placed on server end(with relative or absolute path) or  
we can also placed in client end(with relative or absolute path).

You need to place it in config folder of elasticsearch setup
