While expanding document getting red overlay in chrome (windows) but the same is working fine in chrome (macbook) and mozilla firefox (windows). Hi @carly.richmond , we are using 8.12.1 version. It is working in chrome (Mac) ![Mac_chrome.PNG](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/elastic/original/3X/6/e/6e829ba38d00a081b22dcc51ca8dac739d01983b.jpeg) The same is seen in other versions too (8.7.0, 8.8.2) ---

Thanks for confirming. Do you have any errors or warnings in the Chrome DevTools console? It's a long shot but do you mind trying to reset the Chrome theme [as per these instructions](https://www.reddit.com/r/chrome/comments/4h9e69/google_chrome_has_a_red_overlay_on_my_bookmarks/)? If not I would recommend [raising a bug report for Kibana](https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/new/choose) in case there is a potential bug. ---

Hi @asharma08, Can you confirm if the reset worked or not? Looking at your updated responses I assume the fix worked for a time and then stopped working. Do you have any Kibana plugins installed? If so please list which ones and the plugin version. Can you also share any output from the DevTools consoles in Chrome and Microsoft Edge? I'm keen to see if any error or warning messages are listed. Let us know! ---

Yup, that will be it. Nice spot! It's probably best to keep an eye on the issue to see when it's released. I see the question on backporting hasn't been answered yet.
