# Why cpu and memory too high?

Hi:  
my clusters both cpu and memory is too heavy,querys slow and even timeout happen sometimes,  
Setup:  
ES cluster 2 nodes  
ES Version: 5.1.0  
Total size of open indices: 28GB  
RAM:16GB Master  
CPU: 4 core intel  
ES HEAP SIZE=8g  
total docs （logs mainly）is about 30，000，000+ total, 50,000+ per 15minutes  
how can do to solve this, should I add a new node ?  
as my machine setup ,what is the max number of total logs, so to know when to add a new node ?
