Hi Experts, I am on ES1.7.1 when I am deleting message field , kibana shows nothing in Discover page , however if I do the same in ES2.x things are working smoothly . Can someone suggest what could be the reason for this , or any alternate to delete message field in ES 1.7.1 as it is consuming lot of space . Thanks VG ---

Ah!! I got this , my "\_all" was not enabled , I turned it on now things are working smoothly even after deleting Message field . Remember in ES1.7.1 If you want to delete message field then make sure \_all should be enabled ([check this](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/1.7/mapping-all-field.html)).Hope this will help someone . Thanks VG ---
