# Why is there no apmserver module for filebeat?

I see that filebeat contains a lot of elastic stack modules, why is there no apmserver?

I saw that filebeat comes with some modules about elastic stack, and the main function is to collect their logs.  
The metricbeat you mentioned is a good solution. In addition to using metricbeat, does apm-server have its own internal monitoring?
