# Will \_cluster/health, Indices still be available after license expire

Hi I am wondering if I can still call \_cluster/health and \_indices endpoint if my x-pack license got expired?
In my elasticsearch.yml, I have the following configuration:
xpack.monitoring.enabled: true
Will this be impacted so that I cannot start ElasticSearch after license expire date? I am using ElasticSearch 5.2.2
The reason I am asking this is that I noticed the following link:
[https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/x-pack/current/license-expiration.html](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/x-pack/current/license-expiration.html)
which says:
"You should update your license as soon as possible. You are essentially flying blind when running with an expired license. Access to the cluster health and stats APIs is critical for monitoring and managing an Elasticsearch cluster."
