# Will synthetic tests be added to other languages?

I have checked in the documentation that the current syntax only includes js and ts, and whether I will consider adding other language versions, such as python, in the future

I see that it's based on playwright, which supports python、java

Hi @ntmxglrtayl03. Thanks for reaching out.

While Playwright supports multiple languages, the Elastic Synthetics Agent is based on the JavaScript version of Playwright. There are currently no plans to expand the Elastic Synthetics Agent to support languages other than JavaScript and TypeScript. It's possible we may revisit this plan at a later date.
