# Windows Authentication for Synthetic Monitors in Elastic

Hello,

I'm creating a synthetic monitor using journey for one of our applications.

We have an Microsoft login authentication where after entering an email, we will get a pop-up to enter username and password. Please see the attached screenshot for reference.

We are running into an error where the @elastic/synthetics library doesn't identity the pop-up and the monitor is failing because of that. I have tried HTTP credentials as well but it didn't work.

It would be great if you can guide me to resolve this.

In the Synthetic App what is the monitor type you are using? e.g. Multistep, Single page, HTTP ping...

Can you please elaborate more about the workflow you are following?

I'm creating Multistep journey monitor.

I don't understand the workflow part. Is it related to my application or anything else?
