# Windows local Firewall management

Hello,

Most EDR's offer integrated Windows Firewall management. Is that something that is on the Elastic Endpoint Security roadmap?

Hi Willem.

Thanks for your feedback and continued use of Elastic. While local firewall management is not on our near term roadmap as we focus on enhanced prevention and other response actions, we do recognize that it is a capability offered by some EDR vendors. As our roadmap evolves over the coming releases, additional responses and orchestration will be built into the security solution. These types of enhancement requests and feedback help shape that roadmap.

Thanks for the super fast answer. Unfortunately our current EDRs offer that feature and I fear migrating to something that does not have this feature will be hard to sell. Grtz
