Hello,

I was working with the Metricbeat windows service metricset and I think it would be a nice addition if the user which is configured to run the service could be added? The field could be called

`windows.service.user.name`

Is there already a plan to add this, if not can I make a GitHub issue for it?

Grtz

Willem

Hi @willemdh,

Thanks for the suggestion. I wonder if it overlaps with the `system.process.username` field, but in any case I think it can be handy if system module cannot be used.
Feel free to open an issue to add it 🙂

Hey Jaime,

Shouldn't `system.process.username` be called `system.process.user.name` (following ecs guidelines?)

Created the issue =\> [https://github.com/elastic/beats/issues/8364](https://github.com/elastic/beats/issues/8364)

Tx and grtz
