# X-Pack Platinum License Update

I am having elastic 6.2 on-prem platinum license which was issued to "abc" and now it is about to expire(will expire on 1March 2021) and hence we have purchased same license but for differe uid&issuesto- "xyz"  
once I go to update the license using license api, it says "license\_status": invalid  
Please guide
