Hello Dears,

I'm using ES stack 7.1 x-pack security enabled.
{
"license" : {
"status" : "active",
"uid" : "993fefae-18b5-4311-8835-fca4bf877ed8",
"type" : "basic",
"issue\_date" : "2019-07-26T13:07:18.170Z",
"issue\_date\_in\_millis" : 1564146438170,
"max\_nodes" : 1000,
"issued\_to" : "elasticsearch",
"issuer" : "elasticsearch",
"start\_date\_in\_millis" : -1
}
}

I want to entegrate LDAP server with my Cluster. My ldap configuration at below, it works file but when i try to login from kibana GUI, I am getting that warn:

"Authentication failed using realms [reserved/reserved,file/default\_file,native/default\_native]. Realms [ldap/ldap1] were skipped because they are not permitted on the current license"

xpack:
security:
authc:
realms:
ldap.ldap1:
order: 0
url: "ldap://xx:yy"
bind\_dn: "uid=xx,cn=xx,dc=xx,dc=xx,dc=xx"
bind\_password: xx
user\_search:
base\_dn: "dc=xx,dc=xx,dc=xx"
attribute: xx
files:
role\_mapping: "/etc/elasticsearch/roles.yml"
unmapped\_groups\_as\_roles: false

Is there a configuration problem or its related with my basic license ?

Thanks,
Best Regards,

Hi,

Not all security features are included in the basic license, LDAP authentication for example is _not_ . See [this blog post](https://www.elastic.co/blog/security-for-elasticsearch-is-now-free) that explains things and contains further details and links to our feature/license matrix.
