# Zoom out in time dimension

In Discovery and any other visualizations it is fairly easy to zoom in on time segments. Using "Go Back" works for some cases but it would be so much easier if there was a way to "Zoom Out in time". Is there an easy method to do this?

The back button appears to be the only supported way to zoom out in time at the moment. There is an open Github issue tracking the request for a zoom out button: [https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/5413](https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/5413)

Thanks! I also found the issue below. I remembered this functionality was present and after an update it disappeared. Gosh, it really should be added back.
