Error while sniffing

Getting the following error when I am trying to use sniff. Can someone help me fix it?

Elasticsearch version - 6.1.2
Client - Java high level rest client

[nt_sniffer[T#1]] org.elasticsearch.client.sniff.Sniffer : error while sniffing nodes

I am seeing this error being thrown every 5 minutes

I'd at least try a more recent version. I have no idea though.
May be you have a full stacktrace that could give more details?
