Add an ASA to ELK

Hi
I'm trying to add a Cisco ASA to ELK log monitor and start collecting logs. The ASA is located at the remote site with no direct connection to where the ELK is located. I have a site-to-site VPN between sites. I'm looking for steps to add this remote firewall and start collecting logs. I include the steps but I'm not sure if I have them all.
1- enable logging as well as pointing the log to the ELK public ip on the firewall
2- under integration in ELK add this ASA - UDP port 9001
3- install ELK agent to a workstation or at the remote site?
4- Do I need a config file added to the ELK folder either remote site of workstation?
5- Do I need to add user credentials to the ELK folder ?
Thank you
Regards
