Add sequential number

Hey there...is there a way to have Filebeats add a sequential number to our logs?

In some other services, we use log4j 2 to create a sequential number for us and cloud foundry picks it up and then we use it for sorting in our logs. Unfortunately we are not able to use log4j 2 for this service and would like to figure out if Filebeats can add it for us?

Or would it be possible in Logstash?
