Not just EDOT and Upstream OTEL Agent should work as well.. but you will need to pass it through an OTEL Collector to then send to Elastic. You should be able to use this flow EDOT / OTEL SDK (otlp) -> EDOT Collector / OTEL Col -> ECH (Now, OTEL Native Schema and logsdb)

i have tried OTEL and it is broken for AIX IBM JVM, not supported as of now, but thanks @stephenb for the support, i just activated zlib compression on trace index and able to reduce space usage by half ( though template index )
