Can I import data from my index into App search?

Hello all! I have index in elasticsearch cluster. When I start using app search it suggest me to paste some data in several ways. But I want add data from my index. How I can do it?

You can't connect an existing index to app search. You need to index your data using app search APIs.

Ok, thanks. Self managed version have limit of indexed documents?
