Can't log into Elastic in Data Analyst course lab environment

Question: I'm in the Lab environment. I can see the Terminal, Editor and Lab Instrucctions. When I click on the Kibana tab I'm presented with a login page for "Elastic" (no qualifier). I enter the only Elastic credentials I have -- my email address or short user name, plus my only password -- but it says username or password is incorrect; try again.

I have no idea what's wrong. What exactly am I logging into on this page? how do I diagnose this?

The credentials to connect to Kibana are displayed in the lab instructions of the first module.
