Newbie question here: but why would the drop filter have all of these settings like
add_field, add_tag, etc
if all it does is drop this particular event? I must be missing something here. thanks
Those options are all part of the base functionality of any filter plugin. All plugins inherit those options but obviously for the drop filter, it doesn't make sense. Also, the documentation is largely auto-generated, so these options are just added automatically to the docs.
