Yes, we plan to support platform upgrades in the 1.0 GA release. This will initially be based on scripts that the user will manually invoke to update each ECE host. This will incur no downtime on managed clusters, but might incur a short downtime for the ECE control plain (although we will try for it not to). This is still work in progress so I I'm afraid I can't provide more details at this stage.
