Elastic Stack 7.0.0-alpha1 is here!
Hot on the heels of an amazingly feature-packed 6.5 release, we are thrilled to announce the first public alpha of 7.0.0.
Yes, it’s very exciting. But before we continue with this groovy news, we do want to remind you that this is still an alpha. So, we recommend that you keep it an arm’s length from production. There is no guarantee that 7.0.0-alpha1 versions will be compatible with other preview releases, or even with 7.0.0 GA.
7.0 will not be available on our Elasticsearch Service during the alpha cycle. But, we expect to make a preview version of 7.0.0 available in the coming few months.
The Elastic Pioneer Program
We are also excited to bring back the Elastic Pioneer Program for 7.0. The Pioneer Program debuted in version 5.0 as a way to recognize community participation and feedback, and has been a source of invaluable feedback during the preview period.
