Filebeat 6.7.1: template spec

Hi,
I'm looking at the fields defined in fields.yml and see the following:

- name: took_millis
        description: "Time took in milliseconds"
        example: 42
        type: keyword

Is this deliberate? Why is type not set to long? There are other similar examples...
