Filebeat custom module to subscribe to events?

Hi,

Is it possible to develop a custom filebeat module that subscribe to event such as clear_renamed or clean_removed or clean_inactive ?

My goal is to develop a module that delete the log files when filebeat stops to process them.

Hi @granier,

Although managing lifecycle of log files is not the responsibility of Filebeat I can see the value in reacting to some events.

That is not possible with a module only, some logic at the harvester needs to trigger an event. Can you please open an Enhancement Request explaining the scenario so the team can consider it?
