Filebeat for zip files

Is there any way to read a zipped file directly using filebeat?

Hey @kvtang,

This is not supported by filebeat at the moment. Filebeat is more focused on reading log files as they are created, and they are usually not compressed. In any case, there is a long-open issue discussing this feature, you can find it here: https://github.com/elastic/beats/issues/637
