This may be obvious to some of you, but I dont know how to update grok when ELK is run as a service becuase there is no /bin file. Please help!

What version are you on?
CentOS7
ELK 5.0
This was recently done and I'd like to add it to my grok plugin
https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/current/working-with-plugins.html#updating-plugins should sort you out.
Great, thanks a bunch. I was just having trouble finding the bin folder but found it in usr/share/logstash and then sent the command that is listed on that page.
