How to install logstash plugin from source

Hi,

We need to install datadog_metrics plugin in logstash.
Due to our network settings, logstash defaul install plugin command cannot connect outside world and get the required libraries it seems. We end up receiving connection refused and we cannot change the network settings being in secured environment.

Is there a way to get plugin in gem form directly or how can i build the plugin from source and add it to logstash.?
