I can't connect my Logstash to ES Stack Monitoring please help

I check the status of metricbeat, it says node_stats/node_stats.go:73 json: cannot unmarshal object into Go struct field .version of type string and could not fetch node pipelines: HTTP error 405 in : 405 Method Not Allowed

I stuck several days fixing this error please help.
Here is my metricbeat config:

could you please provide the version of metricbeat and logstash you are running?

especially for metricbeat this in need to reference the proper version to check of the source file node_stats/node_stats.go reported in your error

it seems anyway that you are using the elasticsearch address instead of the logstash one in your logstash-xpack.yml:

Most likely you want to set something like

  hosts: ["172.16.7.75:9600"] # Note 9600 as port

Beware that in your logstash config you set a port range for the api http settings:

api.http.port: 9600-9700

You might probably want to set a single port, so you can reference it in logstash-xpack.yml

I did what you said.

I don't get it the 9600 port. :smiling_face_with_tear:
is port 5044 different from 9600?

I see in the logs of logstash that the api endpoint has successfully start using port 9600.
I also add 9600 in my ufw and this error still appears

9600 is the default port for the logstash monitoring APIs

You use this port in the logstash-xpack module configuration on metricbet to collect metrics from logstash

5044 is the default port for the logstash beats input plugin

You use this in port for output.logstash in the main configuration on metricbeat to send metrics events to logstash, as different from sending them directly to elasticsearch (output.elasticsearch)

What about the bound address? Is logstash listening on port 9600 on 172.16.7.75 or some other IP?

Could you try to execute and share the output of the following command?

$ curl -v -XGET 'localhost:9600/?pretty'

After I use this curl --v -XGET 'localhost:9600/?pretty'
It turns out the bind IP Address is 127.0.0.1:9600 so the metricbeat can't connect
I was wondering why the api.http.port: 172.16.7.75 I put in the logstash.yml can't be bind?

So what I did was I changed it in /etc/environment

from 127.0.0.1 localhost
to 172.16.7.75 localhost

it is api.http.host, without setting it, logstash should bound to all the interfaces, as well as setting it to "0.0.0.0"
