Ingesting data from laptop through Logstash: Nothing happens

I want to use OpenSearch to analyze data. I have started OpenSearch through docker-compose, and it seems to be running fine as per the messages I see in console.

I have configured the logstash.conf file with input pointing to the directory in which I have the files, and output as Opensearch with the port properly configured.

After I start logstash using 'bin/logstash -f logstash.conf', I don't see any output from logstash as well as opensearch console. Where can I check what's happening and what's going wrong? Thanks.
