Invalid mapping error in metricbeat 7.16.2

I am facing the below error in my metricbeat index in kibana

illegal_state_exception: invalid mapping definition, expected a single map underneath [_doc] but it was: [{_meta={beat=metricbeat, version=7.16.2}, dynamic_templates

I have an ILM policy whose hot phase is set at 1-day rollover, this is working fine for the first 2 days, and after 3rd day this mapping error in showing up in this metricbeat index in kibana

The version of metricbeat : 7.16.2 version

Can somebody pls help

The entire error message is very big, and when I am pasting it on this forum in the reply, it is not allowed and pops up this message: "The body is limited to 35000 characters; you entered 223842."
