Kibana shows POST to intake API as part of transaction

I have an Elastic APM agent running inside of a Node.js app that is reporting POST request to the intake API in Kibana. This completely invalidates most of the transaction stats, especially % of transaction because ~90% of the transaction time is spent on this intake span.

Is there some way to not include this span as part of the APM transaction?

Welcome to the forum and thanks for notifying us about this bug.

It's a known problem that the Node.js agent sometimes reports a span for one of its own requests to the APM Server. We have a GitHub issue tracking it here:
