I installed Logstash 6 on a CentOS 7 using the repo variant. After starting Logstash over systemd as service the logstash process consumes over 100% CPU and is not running correctly.
OS: CentOS 7
Java: openjdk 8
I also tested it with Ubuntu Xenial with the same behavior.
Have you checked the logs?
