This is an oft repeated question with several answers. How to rotate logstash.log? I have not turned verbosity on. Yet the logs are massive. I have set the codec to dots and yet I see all of the logs in full json. Am I missing something. I have setup logrotate to rotate the logs but that seems to work only manually... tried restarting the cron. Any help/insight would be appreciated.
I missed tacking --quiet to the command. It did the trick.
